quake safety

I was lying on my floor stretching when the earthquake hit, my first one since the big quake in summer '08. Having grown up in the south, I'm not familiar with earthquake safety, but I recalled, probably from a movie, that you're supposed to get under a table or something. That is when I realized that all of the tables in my apartment are glass tops. WTF. I guess when a really big quake hits, I'm just screwed.
