k-guilt

The former president of South Korea, Roh Moo Hyun, killed himself amid a bribery scandal. He left office in '08. What I mostly remember about him was that young Korean liberals loved him and, of course, my dad hated him, almost as much as I hate Bush (which probably means that I would have loved Roh if I were at all up to date and informed about South Korean politics). But now, even my dad is feeling guilty for all the times he called Roh an SOB.

I am thinking of the other SK presidents who are in prison for major corruption scandals, and I wonder if it is impossible for power and integrity to coincide.
